Tilt Connector Privacy Policy
This policy explains which data the Tilt Connector app for Android sends, why, and how it is kept. Tilt Connector connects a phone to a company's machine fleet on the Tilt platform, so the phone can run parts of the company's own compute work.
Prepared in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/18 – LGPD). It applies only to the app; the website https://tilt.technology/ has its own privacy policy.
Tilt Connector is owned by TILT NETWORK DESENVOLVIMENTO DE SOFTWARE LTDA, a private legal entity registered under CNPJ no. 51.013.905/0001-37.

Data the app sends
Device information: manufacturer and model, Android version and processor architecture.
Device code: a code derived from the phone's Android ID by a cryptographic hash. The Android ID itself never leaves the phone, and it cannot be recovered from the code.
Usage measurements: processor, memory, storage and network use, battery level, charging state and temperature, thermal state, and time since the phone was turned on.
Work results: the results of the compute tasks that the company's fleet sends to the phone.
Purpose
The data is used only so the phone can work as a machine of the company's fleet: to identify the machine, to choose which work to send to it, and to show its state to the people who manage the fleet in Tilt.
Data the app does not collect
Name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, personal files, browsing history, the list of installed apps, or advertising identifiers.
The app has no ads and no third-party analytics or crash reporting tools. Compute tasks run in an isolated environment, without access to your personal data or files.
Work data on the phone
The phone receives small parts of a larger job. The input and output of each part are deleted from the phone as soon as the part is finished: work data is not kept on the phone.
The app only keeps the code of the company's functions, to reuse it, and a summary of the last 7 days (how many parts per service and the time spent), which never leaves the phone and is removed when the app is uninstalled.
Sharing
The data is not sold. It is visible to the people who manage the company's fleet in Tilt, and it is processed on the servers that run the Tilt platform.
It is not shared with third parties for any other purpose, except with authorities when legally required.
Retention and deletion
Since work data is deleted from the phone after each part, there is nothing to delete on the phone. The device information and usage measurements sent to Tilt are kept while the company uses the platform.
The user can stop the phone at any time with "Pausar" (Pause), or remove it with "Sair do parque" (Leave the fleet) in the app.
To have the device information and measurements of a phone deleted from Tilt, write to support@tilt.technology or lgpd@tilt.technology.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit between the phone and Tilt.
A phone only joins a fleet with the company's connection key, and it receives no work until the fleet's administrator approves it.
Each part runs in an isolated environment inside the app: it has no network access, no access to Android or to the phone's files (only to the input and output of its own part), and it runs under memory and time limits. The code of each function is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint before it runs, and code that does not match is refused.
Work files stay in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read, and are deleted when each part ends.
The app and the runtime that executes the functions are signed by Tilt and installed together.
We also adopt organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure.
Data subject rights
Under the LGPD, data subjects may request confirmation and access, correction, deletion, and information about sharing, free of charge, at lgpd@tilt.technology.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the last update.
